• Citrix Receiver for Mac 12.8.1 Jan 17, 2018 Citrix Receiver for Mac provides users with self-service access to resources published on XenApp or XenDesktop servers. Citrix Receiver for Mac combines ease of deployment and use, and offers quick, secure access to hosted applications and desktops.
• Beginning August 2018, Citrix Receiver will be replaced by Citrix Workspace app. While you can still download older versions of Citrix Receiver, new features and enhancements will be released for Citrix Workspace app. Citrix Workspace app is a new client from Citrix that works similar to Citrix Receiver and is fully backward-compatible with.

1. Log in to www.Schwab.com and go to the Trade tab. Click Launch StreetSmart Edge.

2. In the next screen, click the Install button.

3. Download CitrixReceiver.dmg. In Safari, the download will begin automatically. In Firefox, choose Save File and click OK.

A note for users running Mac OS X 10.5 or below:
The installer you will be downloading will be called CitrixReceiver11_2.dmg instead of CitrixReceiver.dmg. This is due to changes in Mac OS X from 10.6 onward. You will be installing an older version of the Citrix receiver which supports your version of Mac OS X. Your system specifications will be automatically detected and the correct version of the Citrix receiver will be downloaded.

4. Double-click on the downloaded file CitrixReceiver.dmg to begin the installation.

5. Click the Citrix Receiver window to bring it to the front, and then click Install Citrix Receiver.pkg.

6. Click Continue in the pop-up to allow the software to install.

7. Click Continue again to begin the installation.

8. Click Continue to view and agree to the Citrix License Agreement.

9. Click Agree to continue with installation.

10. Click Install to finally begin the installation.

11. Enter the Name and Password of the Macintosh administrator and click OK.

12. When the installation completes, click Close.

13. Close the Citrix Receiver window.

14. Close the Downloads window.

15. In the Citrix XenApp Log On screen, click the Log On button to continue. The Logon Type will always be Anonymous. No log on credentials are needed.

16. Click the StreetSmart Edge icon to launch.

With Citrix ´s continuous innovation, they focus on improving both user and admin experience. This chart compares the optimizations they have made for you today with the capabilities they previously had in place.

Please note, CTXMTOP is a command-and-control virtual channel. That means media is not exchanged between the Citrix Workspace app and the VDA.

There are a few known limitations with Microsoft Teams running on VDI on Mac compared to the native Microsoft Teams application. This includes the absence of the gallery view. While Skype for Business can coexist with Microsoft Teams, they cannot run at the same time. Microsoft has an extensive deployment guide for this. Additionally, to preserve VDA resources on the workspace app, Citrix have disabled background effects on Microsoft Teams. Check out their documentation for more information.

The Citrix optimization for Microsoft Teams on MacOS,contains VDA-side HDX services and API to interface with the Microsoft Teams hosted app to receive commands. These components open a control virtual channel (CTXMTOP) to the Citrix Workspace app-side media engine. The endpoint decodes and renders the multimedia locally. Reverse seamless snaps-in the local Citrix Workspace app window back into the hosted Microsoft Teams app.

Mirosoft Teams on MacOS optimization works by default if the user has Citrix Workspace app 2012 or later and macOS 10.15.

If you want to disable Microsoft Teams on MacOS optimization, run this command in terminal and restart Workspace app:
